Starr Hughes Hume received her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders University from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. She interned at The Washington Hospital Center and The Lab School of Washington, Washington, D.C.. She has worked in private practice seeing mainly pediatrics, in Early Head Start. Since 2008, Starr has focused on her work in Early Intervention. She previously worked in Early Intervention in Heidelberg, Germany and Williamsburg, VA. Starr now works for Babies Can’t Wait in Hall and Forsyth County. Additionally, she works PRN at CHOA. She has been a DIR certified provider, received the ASHA ACE award in 2012 and 2016, and takes continuing education to better serve her families. She is native to Dawsonville, GA, is thrilled to be back home. Starr enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
